UNDP Delivers Disinfectant Dispensers to Turkmenistan
The delivery was carried out under the Turkmenistan COVID-19 Response Project funded by the World Bank.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Turkmenistan delivered 1,500 disinfectant dispensers to the Government of Turkmenistan, the UNDP announced on Wednesday.

The delivery of the dispensers was carried out under the Turkmenistan COVID-19 Response Project funded by the World Bank.

The $20 million project is being implemented by the UNDP and the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan with the UNICEF and the WHO office in Turkmenistan to help the country strengthen preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In early August this year, UNDP delivered medical equipment for reanimation and intensive care units to the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan (MHMIT). The delivery included ultrasound equipment, defibrillators, cardio monitors, pulse oximeters and infra-red thermometers worth more than $222.3 thousand.
