The Gumdagnebit Oil and Gas Production Management of the Türkmennebit State Concern, the national oil company of Turkmenistan, produced more than 280,000 tons of oil in January-July this year.

Gumdagnebit fulfilled the seven-month oil production plan by 111%. Compared to the same period last year, the production growth amounted to more than 120%, the official Turkmen media reported on Friday.

The first borehole in the Gumdag field appeared in July 1947 as a result of oil and gas exploration.

In May this year, the drilling team of Türkmennebit obtained the commercial flow of natural gas and oil condensate at the Uzanada field in the country’s western province of Balkan.
