Over 100 Private Transport, Logistics Companies Established in Turkmenistan
The Turkmen Foreign Minister stated that Turkmenistan attaches importance to the transportation and logistics sector.

More than 100 private transport and logistics companies have been established in Turkmenistan, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said during a press briefing on Friday, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.

The press briefing at the Turkmen Foreign Ministry focused on the results of the Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea on August 15-16.

Meredov said Turkmenistan signed bilateral cooperation agreements with Russia, Moldova and Georgia in the field of transport during the forum.

The Turkmen Foreign Minister stated that the transportation and logistics sector has become important in the world, emphasizing that Turkmenistan also attaches importance to this field.

Meredov added that in the past, foreign companies operated in the field of transportation and logistics on the territory of Turkmenistan, but now local Turkmen companies provide high quality services in this field.

The Ministerial Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries, organized on the initiative of Turkmenistan under the aegis of the UN, gathered delegations from around 40 states and more than 30 international organizations.
