As of August 1, 2022, the total amount of loans allocated by credit institutions of Turkmenistan to enterprises, organizations and population in national currency exceeded 84.91 billion manats, which is 14.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2021. Back then, the loans issued by banks totaled 73.212 billion manats, according to the data of Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
As of August 1 this year, the state institutions and enterprises received loans in the amount of 55.763 billion manats, which exceeds the relevant indicator for the same period of 2021 by 4.9 percent. During the same period last year, such loans totaled 53.143 billion manats.
According to the Central Bank statistics as of August 1 this year, the amount of loans in national currency provided to non-state companies and organizations in national currency totaled 11.626 billion manats, a 66.8 percent increase compared to the same period of 2021 (6.969 billion manats).
Moreover, the total amount of loans provided to citizens and non-state entrepreneurs in national currency as of August 1, 2022 amounted to 17.527 billion manats, which is 24.3 percent more compared to same period of 2021. Back then, this figure stood at 14.1 billion manats.
During the online cabinet meeting in December last year, Turkmenistan approved the Program to reduce the impact on the country's economy of complications encountered in the global economy, and the stable development of the national economy in 2022.
In January-July months of 2022, the total amount of non-cash transactions via bank cards in Turkmenistan exceeded 7.57 billion manats.
