President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday during a telephone conversation on Thursday, the Press Service of the President of Russia said in its statement.
"The reciprocal attitude toward the all-round strengthening of Russian-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership has been confirmed," according to the statement.
Putin has also sent a congratulatory telegram to President Berdimuhamedov.
In his message, the Russian President said "the Declaration on deepening strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan signed in June will undoubtedly create conditions for a qualitative increase in mutually beneficial bilateral ties in different directions."
He added that he would be pleased to continue the dialogue with Serdar Berdimuhamedov and work closely together for the benefit of the peoples of the countries, in the interests of strengthening peace, security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
The Russian Leader wished his Turkmen counterpart good health, happiness and success.
The birthday greetings were sent by Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi.
