The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $7.55 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
For foreign currency, the businesses from Turkey, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries purchased aviation kerosene and polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR).
In addition, the businesses from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan bought cotton yarn, plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, and float glass for foreign currency.
The Indian companies purchased cotton yarn worth more than 1.16 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased high-density polyethylene of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern and technical sulfur of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern for a total of over 11.9 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 17 transactions last week.
