President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana on Friday morning on a state visit, according to the Press Service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The Head of Turkmenistan was greeted at the airport of Astana by the Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
During the visit, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will discuss a wide range of bilateral issues, as well as topical regional matters.
In addition, the Head of Turkmenistan will take part in the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Central Asia - Russia summit.
In October, President Berdimuhamedov took part in the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg.
