Turkmen President Instructs to Prevent Price Increases in Winter Holidays
The Head of Turkmenistan also stated the need to further increase production of consumer goods.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday gave instructions to control the supply of markets and stores with different goods and not to allow price increases with the onset of the winter season, especially during the holidays.

The instructions were addressed to Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government supervising the country’s trade and textile complex, who reported on the performance in January-October 2022 of the areas that he oversees, according to the country’s official media.

The Head of Turkmenistan also stated the need to further increase production of consumer goods.

Focusing on the textile sector, President Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Premier to take comprehensive measures to use the full capacity of this industry, develop the production of new types of finished products that can successfully replace the products of foreign producers.

The government meeting summed the results of activities of sectors of the national economic complex over the past ten months of 2022, discussed the priorities of socio-economic development of the country and considered a number of draft documents.

The GDP of Turkmenistan grew by 6.2 percent in in January-October period of this year.

2022
