The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $27 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
Businesses from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.
In addition, the Emirati and Afghan companies made deals on the purchase of aviation kerosene and hydrotreated fuel produced at the enterprise of Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern.
Businesses from Kyrgyzstan and Turkey procured dyed cotton yarn and textile products also for foreign currency.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased base oil and oil road bitumen produced of Türkmennebit SC. The total amount of transactions amounted to 39.5 million.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 34 transactions last week.
