Abu Dhabi Hosts Turkmenistan-UAE Business Forum
The exhibition held on the sidelines of the business forum featured Made in Turkmenistan textile products, carpets, construction, electronic, confectionary and other goods.

Turkmenistan-United Arab Emirates business forum, and within its framework an exhibition, was held at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi hotel in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The Head of Turkmenistan was met at the main entrance of the hotel by the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the official Turkmen media reports.

The Turkmen delegation at the forum included representatives of Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Textile Industry, Türkmenhaly State Association, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and businesspeople.

In his opening remarks, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said he views the large representative membership of the forum as proof of the special interest of the UAE business groups in Turkmenistan and their desire to expand mutually beneficial cooperation. He detailed the results achieved in the Turkmen-Emirati business relations and priority areas of cooperation.

The Head of Turkmenistan also proposed to discuss in detail the opportunities for development of investment activities in such industries as electricity, communications, agro-industry, textiles, high-tech and innovative industries, urban development, and renewable energy.

The business forum was aimed at ensuring active participation of UAE businesses in implementation of international pipeline projects of Turkmenistan, development of gas-chemical industry, transport systems, effective use of Turkmenbashi International Seaport, cooperation in industrial sector as well as in green energy.

The sides signed a number of bilateral documents on the outcome of the forum.

The exhibition held on the sidelines of the business forum featured textile products, carpets, construction, electronic, confectionary and other goods with the Made in Turkmenistan label.
