Turkmen President Meets Head of Uzbek Presidential Administration
The sides noted that the bilateral cooperation between the countries has reached a qualitatively new stage in recent years.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Sardor Umurzakov, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on Monday in Ashgabat.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the meeting, Umurzakov conveyed cordial greetings, best wishes and congratulations on the International Neutrality Day from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Head of Turkmenistan. He also congratulated the Turkmen President on the International Neutrality Day.

Thanking for congratulations, the Head of State stated that this year Turkmenistan marks the 27th anniversary of its neutral status. Having conveyed greetings and good wishes to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to a traditionally friendly, trust-based dialogue with Uzbekistan.

In the course of the meeting, the sides noted that the bilateral cooperation between the countries has reached a qualitatively new stage in recent years. The meeting also noted that Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have similar or close positions on topical issues of the regional and global agenda, first and foremost, on ensuring global peace and security and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The parties outlined trade-economic cooperation among the priority areas of bilateral partnership and stated the need to maintain the positive dynamics of trade turnover and optimal practical implementation of the agreements reached during mutual visits and talks at the highest level.

At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Sardor Umurzakov expressed confidence that the strategic interstate cooperation underpinned by the unbreakable bonds of friendship and good neighborliness would continue to develop successfully for the common good.
