The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $33.72 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
For foreign currency, the companies from Uzbekistan, Turkey, the Virgin Islands, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta and the United Arab Emirates procured hydrotreated diesel fuel and aviation kerosene of Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern. The foreign companies also bought plain dyed jacquard products and cotton yarn produced at the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
The Turkish businesses purchased cotton yarn for a total of more than 1.8 million manats.
For the domestic market, local entrepreneurs purchased oil bitumen, petroleum coke and plastic pallets totaling more than 110.72 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 32 transactions last week.
