Guwlyduz plant of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, located in Turkmenistan’s western province of Balkan's Turkmenbashy district, produced more than 88 thousand tons of salt from January to November 2022.
The plant fulfilled the 11-month production plan by 103 percent, the country’s official media reported on Saturday.
The volume of raw material reserves of Guwlyduz enterprise exceeded 40 million tons. The enterprise is the fourth in the world and the first in the region to introduce food salt iodization.
The length of the lake, where the salt is produced, is up to 60 kilometers, the width of the southern side is 5 kilometers, and the width of the northern side is 3 kilometers.
The enterprise also produces technical salt, which is widely used in the fuel and energy sector of the country for refining petroleum products, as well as in textile industry, housing and communal services.
