President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday in Ashgabat received the newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan, the official Turkmen media reports.
Meeting with Italian Ambassador Luigi Ferrari
During the meeting, Luigi Ferrari thanked the Head of Turkmenistan for taking the time to accept his credentials. The Turkmen President congratulated the Italian plenipotentiary on his appointment to this important diplomatic post and wished him success in his work.
During the meeting, it was noted that Italy has for many years been main trading partner of Turkmenistan in Europe. The Head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that these opportunities could be used more effectively, and taking into account the diversification of the economy of Turkmenistan, the wide introduction of high-tech industries, the implementation of large-scale national and international projects in the fields of fuel and energy, transport, agriculture and textile industry, he added that these opportunities are actively used and should be put into practice.
Meeting with the Ambassador of Qatar Hamad Bin Rashid Bin Hamad Al-Azbin
The Turkmen President and the Qatari envoy considered important international policy issues of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of mutual support for important initiatives and proposals aimed at ensuring peace, security and global sustainable development. The fuel-energy complex, trade, investment, transport-communications, chemicals, textiles, agriculture, health care and high-tech systems were identified as promising areas for cooperation. The sides stressed the importance of developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which is considered an important area of interstate relations.
Meeting with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for taking the time to discuss the important issues of cooperation.
The Turkmen President congratulated the envoy on his appointment to the responsible diplomatic post and wished him success in further strengthening Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations.
During the talks, the Head of Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Ambassador exchanged views on promising directions of bilateral relations, taking into account multifaceted opportunities for cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the newly appointed ambassadors of Italy, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan assured President Serdar Berdimuhamedov that they will fully support the further development of multifaceted and fruitful relations that meet the interests of the friendly countries.
