The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $2.88 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
For foreign currency, businesses from the Turkey and Kyrgyzstan bought denim fabrics and cotton yarn that were produced at the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
The Indian businesses procured Turkmen cotton yarn worth more than 1.68 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 3 transactions last week.
Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
