The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $77 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.

Businesses from the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan bought gasoline, aviation kerosene and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced by the enterprise of Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern.

The companies from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ireland and Serbia purchased dyed jacquard products, cotton yarn, dry powder of licorice root and portland cement for foreign currency.

The Emirati and Turkish businesses also procured cotton yarn worth more than 25.39 million manats.

For the domestic market, local entrepreneurs procured calcined petroleum coke of Türkmennebit and packaging film produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries for the total sum of over 75.5 million manats.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 46 transactions last week.
