President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to Mary province on Tuesday, during which he inspected the progress of seasonal agricultural works, the country’s official media reports.
As part of the visit, the Turkmen President held a meeting with deputy chairmen of the Turkmen Government in charge of the agricultural and construction-industrial complexes and other state officials.
The meeting discussed the ways to increase the efficiency and potential of the agro-industrial sector.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet for the agro-industrial complex Annageldi Yazmyradov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet for construction, industry and energy Charymyrat Purchekov, Secretary of the State Security Council, Defense Minister Begench Gundogdiyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the center of Ahal Province Deryageldi Orazov and Mary Governor Dovranberdi Annaberdiyev briefed the Head of State on the activities under the state structures under their supervision.
Following the reports, Turkmen President focused on the pace and quality of the seasonal agricultural works, emphasizing that these activities should be carried out in accordance with the established schedule and standards of agricultural technology.
Summing up the meeting, the Turkmen President wished the participants success in their work.
During his working trip to Mary province, the Head of State also inspected the progress of seasonal agricultural works in the region's fields and the measures underway to strengthen the banks of the Garagum River.
