Turkmenistan Sends Additional Aid to Help Earthquake Victims in Türkiye
The aid for children was sent on Friday by plane.

Turkmenistan, on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, has sent additional humanitarian aid to the people in Türkiye affected by the devastating earthquake.

A relevant Resolution signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday was published by the country’s official media.

The aid for children, which was sent on Friday by plane, included medical supplies, necessary goods, food products, and winter clothing, donated by the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan.

On Tuesday morning, the Turkmen plane carrying aid team and supplies for the earthquake victims flew off from Ashgabat to Türkiye.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured Monday’s earthquake at 7.8 magnitude. During the second half of the day, a second massive earthquake of 7.6 magnitude has hit the southeast of Türkiye. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Türkiye, the earthquakes were followed by 1,891 aftershocks. As of 07.30 Türkiye time, the death toll of the earthquake stood at 20,665, and 80,088 people were injured.
