The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan has started issuing a new digital bank card VISA Virtual to make safe purchases in foreign Internet stores and services. Orient news agency reported on Thursday.
The key difference of VISA Virtual is the absence of a physical carrier. After issuance of the digital card, the user receives the card details – card number, expiration date and verification codes. These data are enough to make online payments.
In order to open a bank card VISA Virtual, customers just need to fill out an application form at the State Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan branch offices, providing original passport with its copy, and deposit the initial amount. Funds are credited and kept in the card in US dollars.
