The foundation laying ceremonies for three new medical centers – International Scientific Clinical Center for Oncology, International Pediatric Center and Dental Center – took place in Ashgabat on Wednesday, the official Turkmen media reports.
The event was attended by National Leader of the Turkmen Nation, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, heads of the Turkmen healthcare system, representatives of the Ministry of Education, State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, public organizations, media, doctors, honorary elders and guests from Türkiye.
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman in his speech told about the main directions of reforming the healthcare system and emphasized the importance of the new facilities. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that human health is the main value of the state and society in the country. Then the head of the Turkish company Gap Inşaat Ahmet Calik continued with his speech.
On the construction site of the oncology center, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left a memorial note on the occasion of laying the foundation of the new medical facility and put it into a special box, thus giving a start to the construction of the new facility.
The event then continued with the laying of the foundations of International Pediatrics Center and Dental Center.
Following the decisions signed by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on February 10, 2023, the construction of the International Scientific and Clinical Center for Oncology for 500 places and the International Pediatrics Center for 160 places has been entrusted to Turkish Gap Inşaat.
