Job Purpose

To conduct all field Slick line operation, on Rigs or Rigless

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Slickline operations are carried out safely as per standard SL Safety Operation procedure
  • Meet the goal and objectives and KPIs of the department.
  • Ensure that Wax cutting frequency is updated monthly, liaison with Petroleum Engineers.
  • Detailed daily report submitted with clear description of down-hole status, this is especially with wax cutting, condition of wax, depth, quantity.
  • Coordinate daily with offshore operations, Well testing engineer, petroleum engineers/ reservoir engineers and drilling supervisors through WS superintendent.
  • Ensure the crews have a zero tolerance to breaches of safety, health and environmental policies.
  • Ensure that operators are fully aware of the operations requirement and preparation prior any task commence
  • Ensure operators complete required documentation prior to commencement of the next activity.
  • Ensure all equipment, (Used or New) is properly maintained in good condition and proper documentation available
  • Motivate personnel’s work performance under your supervision to achieve the company safety objective
  • Ensure all HSE and Quality document are available at base and strictly follow
  • Delegates and Assign task responsibilities to authorized personnel on daily basis for, special task or duty
  • Guides and provides training for the crews in maintaining and operating new types and modernized equipment that is required to be used in the field.
  • Respect for operating procedures and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Program memory gauges, download and retrieve data and then report output in professional format to end users.
  • Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health Safety and Environment standards and procedures
  • Manage and coordinate daily S/L operations as instructed by WS superintendent and report performance versus plan on daily basis
  • Attend and perform critical S/L jobs
  • Manage all S/L supervisors and crews as well as tool man and mechanic
  • Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment, tools and wires
  • Manage spare part’s inventory and define min/ max and shelf lives
  • Leadership and management skills, leading senior staff and managing assets
  • Manage S/L workshop needs and suggest continues improvement plans
  • Keep track of wire log, equipment utilization and tools utilization with their serial numbers
  • Good to have PLT and wireline experience and knowledge.
  • Comply with all Government regulations that apply to this nature of operation

Education

  • Preferably with engineering degree or at least a Bachelors/College Degree or Professional License in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
