Job Purpose
- Develop, implement and support the Drilling & Completion HSE Management Plan to manage their activities in line with Dragon Oil core HSE values and objectives.
- Achieve continuous improvement in safety performance and elimination or reduction of injuries and incidents, as well as ensuring that Drilling and Completion operations comply with or exceed Company HSE standards.
- Advice and mentor on good safety management.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the line management to implement HSE policies, procedures, practices and standards in respect of all well operations including rigless activities.
- Develop and implement a Drilling and Completions management system in line with the OGP framework in conjunction with the DOTL and DOHL HSE function.
- Support the line management to develop and co-ordinate the critical HSE Drilling & Completion Contractor Safety Management Systems.
- Monitor and audit compliance of HSE activities related to well engineering operations and initiate corrective actions to ensure safe operations.
- Monitor and assist in completing corrective action items against scheduled plans.
- Actively support and promote the Company’s Safety Management System and HSE standards.
- Carry out Contractor HSE Capability Assessments in support of the Drilling and Completion contract and Supply Chain strategy.
- Support Drilling Superintendents and Drilling Manager in driving HSE performance improvement.
- Responsible for guiding and mentoring in Hazard and Risk Management.
- Assist in the investigation of Drilling & Completion incidents and development of relevant reports.
- Provide operational health and safety advice on day to day basis as required and attend Drilling & Completion HSE meetings and rig daily calls.
- Foster a positive HSE culture across the Drilling & Completion organization.
- Assist in analysis of corrective actions and implementations.
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma of Medical Institute with qualification of GP.
- Work experience as a GP more than 3 years.
- Diving medicine diploma from a recognized diving institute (academy).
- Refresher training, including emergency care training certificate.
- Basic sea survival and fire-fighting courses.
- Computer and English language literacy.
