The United States Ambassador to Turkmenistan is seeking a Housekeeper to manage the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR) located on the New Embassy Compound in Ashgabat and to assist with representational events.    

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• General cleaning of the house, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of floors, and other routine chores.
• Specific cleaning and upkeep as required.
• Deep cleaning of each room conducted routinely.
• Periodic scheduled cleaning of windows.
• Cleaning and maintenance of guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Washing, ironing, mending, etc., of representational items as well as clothing and linens of Ambassador and family, guests.
• Upkeep of the patios and outdoor areas close to the house.
• Assistance with preparation and serving of food for private and official meals at the residence and associated clean-up.
• Act as waitress for small representational and private events hosted by the Ambassador.
• Comfortable working in a home with pets (specifically a large dog)

This position will report directly to the Residence Manager, and the ideal candidate will be able to provide multiple references that will confirm quality of work and reliability.  Hours will be flexible and will change based on the needs of the Ambassador and scheduled events.  Candidate must be able to accommodate an occasionally shifting schedule to support representational events and must be able to pass a security background check.
