Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Under the overall supervision of the Political Officer, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
- Receives, screens, assesses, processes, monitors and evaluates project ideas/proposals/documents/budgets/progress and final reports/self-evaluation and other evaluation reports according to office procedures and rules;
- Drafts project documents and is responsible for day-to-day implementation, monitoring and reporting for the PCU’s own projects, including of contracting experts, preparing the terms of reference, making and supervising service and logistical arrangements (travel arrangements, billeting, visa procedures, bookings, conference services) with regard to the Centre’s programmatic activities at trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences;
- Gathers relevant information and drafts periodical or ad hoc reports on the Centre’s programmatic activities, including in connection with the development of the Centre’s yearly workplan;
- Provides support to the Centre’s programmes on project development and project management issues, instructing and training non-OSCE personnel in OSCE rules for proper project development and management.
- Maintains the PC’s calendar, arranging meetings and phone calls, forwarding and responding to correspondence on behalf of the PCU inside the Centre and externally;
- Files documents and correspondence according to OSCE rules and procedures; maintaining the PCU’s records and the Centre’s central registry on programmatic activities; Takes notes and prepares reports from/on meetings, briefings, various events.
Necessary Qualifications:
Education:
- Completed secondary education, as well as university degree would be preferably specialized in social sciences, business administration/management.
Experience and knowledge/skills:
- Minimum four years of relevant experience of experience in office and project management and administration, preferably in international organizations or companies.
- Professional fluency in English with excellent communication (both oral and written) skills; professional fluency in Russian, Turkmen would be an asset;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
- Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
- Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications.
