Job Purpose

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee reservoir programs for data acquisition and analysis.
• Formulate and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize ultimate economic hydrocarbon recovery.
• Provide reservoir engineering expertise to optimise field development planning, waterflood management, reservoir surveillance, and production performance across a complex, mature offshore environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the acquisition, quality control, and interpretation of subsurface data across the field.
• Review archived and newly acquired reservoir, production, and development data to assess reservoir performance.
• Plan and coordinate data acquisition programs covering fluid sampling, downhole pressure monitoring, PVT analysis, and special core analysis.
• Define reservoir engineering requirements for transient tests, and collaborate with engineering and operations staff to design testing programs.
• Interpret field data, laboratory results and reservoir studies to assess reservoir performance and maintain up to date reliable data.
• Review reservoir performance using material balance calculations, simulation results, production decline curve analysis, and pressure data. Assess ultimate economic recovery potential from initial or current production to abandonment. Identify and quantify opportunities in production uplift, pressure maintenance, and improved recovery efficiency.
• Develop short- and medium-term production forecasts based on STOIIP/GIIP estimates, drive mechanism analysis, static and dynamic model outputs, and current field performance.
• Screen and evaluate appraisal, infill drilling, workover, EOR opportunities, and implementation of new technologies.
• Perform economics and risk assessment studies of planned reservoir development projects and conduct initial technical and economic evaluations.
• Provide technical and economic input into evaluating the improved oil recovery potential of assigned assets.
• Participate in defining the range of studies to be submitted by consultants with respect to particular projects, and provide input into the consultant selection and performance monitoring process

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with an international E&P operator in reservoir management and field development planning. Direct experience with offshore clastic, multilayered reservoir environments is essential. Familiarity with Caspian Sea operations or comparable mature sandstone assets is strongly preferred.
