Turkmenistan participates with it national pavilion at the International Horticultural EXPO-2023, which opened on October 3 in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan announced last Tuesday.
The opening ceremony of the Doha EXPO-2022 held under the slogan “Green Desert, Better Environment” was attended by Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan, Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, Prime Minister of Yemen Moayen Abdel Malik, Prime Minister of Rwanda Edward Ngirente and several other dignitaries.
Qatari Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said in his speech at the opening ceremony that the exhibition is an opportunity for sustainable development and international cooperation.
In September this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorising the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to conclude a contract with Söwda Öýi company to design and build the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan for the international exhibition.
The International Horticultural EXPO-2023 in Doha will last until March 28, 2024.
