A delegation from the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan is participating in InnoTrans 2026, an international trade fair for transport technology in Berlin, where it is holding working meetings with representatives of major railway companies, a representative of the Turkmen delegation told Business Turkmenistan.
The delegation includes Deputy Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Silapberdi Nurberdiyev, Demiryollary OJSC Director General Keymir Bayramov, Head of the Road Management Department at the Ministry of Railway Transport Abdylla Cholukov and Head of the Ministry’s Communications Department Allannur Mammedov.
Since the first day of the exhibition, the delegation has held meetings with representatives of German Techne Kirow GmbH, INFRA LLC, China’s CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd., France’s Alstom, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and Switzerland’s Schwihag AG. The Sept. 23 program includes talks with Vossloh AG, ArcelorMittal and System7 Railtechnology GmbH, as well as meetings with the UK Department for Transport, the Railway Industry Association (RIA) and Pandrol. Meetings with voestalpine Railway Systems GmbH, SRT Srl, ARBZ and Kzeso LLC are planned for Sept. 24.
The talks cover manufacturers of rolling stock, equipment and infrastructure solutions, as well as companies working in digital technologies for rail transport.
InnoTrans 2026 has set a new record in the exhibition’s 30-year history. A total of 3,170 exhibitors from 59 countries have gathered in Berlin, with the exhibition covering about 200,000 square meters. The exhibition features 180 world premieres, including new developments in rolling stock, infrastructure and transport technologies.
Key areas of this year’s exhibition include hydrogen propulsion, automation, artificial intelligence and robotics. The outdoor track area, which is about 3.5 kilometers long, features 113 units of rolling stock from 17 countries. About 700 companies are participating in InnoTrans for the first time.
