The Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Toğan Oral, hosted a reception at his residence in Ashgabat to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. The event was attended by various guests, including Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives from foreign diplomatic missions, organisations, and media operating in Turkmenistan.
During his speech at the reception, Deputy Chairman Batyr Atdayev congratulated the Turkish people on Republic Day. He emphasised the close bond between the people of Turkmenistan and Türkiye, stating that the two nations are essentially one people. Deputy Prime Minister Atdayev highlighted the shared heritage, spiritual values, language, and customs as the foundation of their brotherhood.
Batyr Atdayev highlighted the successful implementation of numerous agreements and projects across various sectors between Turkmenistan and Türkiye during the past three decades. He emphasised that Türkiye holds a leading position among over 100 countries engaged in trade and economic cooperation with Turkmenistan, underscoring the strategic nature of the bilateral relations.
Ambassador Togan Oral expressed his profound honour in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye in Turkmenistan and welcomed the esteemed guests to the event. He expressed gratitude to all the participants and conveyed congratulations on behalf of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reading his congratulatory message commemorating the Day of the Republic of Türkiye on October 29, 2023. The event concluded with the attendees being presented with traditional Turkish culinary delights.
Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated and wished President Recep Tayyip Erdogan well on the Republic of Türkiye 100th anniversary. "It is gratifying to note the achievements of your country in political, economic and social aspects, as well as the high level of interstate relations. We highly appreciate your contribution to developing brotherly ties between our countries and are convinced of the consistent strengthening of bilateral partnership," the message read.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, also sent a congratulatory letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. Emphasising the diversified nature of bilateral relations of friendship and brotherhood established over the years, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in their further progressive development in a wide range of areas.
