In the arts district of Sablon in Brussels, an exhibition dedicated to the decorative applied arts of Turkmenistan took place on Sunday, where guests saw traditional jewelry, carpets, textiles, and other works of decorative applied art that symbolize the rich history and uniqueness of the country, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium.

The event gathered diplomats, representatives of the European Union, cultural figures, and art enthusiasts interested in Central Asian culture. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium, the Central-Asian European Creative Alliance initiative led by Elena Haritonova, and the art studio "Keshde" by Sheker Akanyazova organized the exhibition.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized the special role of culture in strengthening peace and trust among nations. He noted, "Culture, like neutrality, knows no borders. It unites people, fosters mutual understanding, and strengthens trust," reminding everyone of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and that the United Nations declared 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The exhibition highlighted the significance of Turkmenistan's cultural code, which has roots in ancient times. The event's program allowed guests to immerse themselves in centuries-old traditions that continue to be preserved today.

The event served as a vivid example of how culture can act as a universal bridge between people, erasing borders and uniting different countries, according to the report,
