Turkmen fashion and traditional jewelry attracted the attention of guests at the International Jewelry Forum and Exhibition At the Origins of the Treasure of Oxus, which took place on March 24 in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During the event, designers and models from Turkmenistan and Tajikistan presented collections of national clothing, complemented by jewelry pieces, in an exclusive fashion show.
The Turkmen fashion house Mähirli Zenan sparked particular interest with its outfits inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage. National costumes, decorated with embroidery and traditional patterns, emphasized the elegance and uniqueness of the style.
The forum, organized by the government of Tajikistan, brought together around 50 local jewelry enterprises, designers, and artisans, along with more than 200 participants from various countries, including Turkmenistan. The Turkmen delegation, represented by the Chamber of Commerce and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, showcased a unique jewelry collection reflecting centuries-old artisan traditions.
A key event involved the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Mähirli Zenan and renowned designer Liliya Rah. They plan several events as part of the agreement, including a large-scale fashion show in Ashgabat, timed to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. Liliya Rah praised the uniqueness of Turkmen style and noted that it inspired a joint collection with local designers.
The international forum served as an important platform for strengthening cooperation and promoting Turkmen jewelry art and fashion globally.
