A fashion show featuring Italian designers Gloria Trevisani and Claudia Bellini, alongside Turkmenistan State Academy of Arts student Jennet Agaeva, took place at the gallery of the Academy in Ashgabat. The event was organized by the Embassy of Italy in Turkmenistan in collaboration with the country’s Ministry of Culture, and drew the attention of students, professors, diplomats, artists, and fashion designers, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The collections presented on the runway showcased a harmonious blend of Turkmenistan’s rich decorative heritage with the elegance of Italian design. Clean silhouettes, a refined color palette, and a strong focus on detail made each piece both stylish and wearable. Traditional ornaments and national jewelry incorporated into all three collections added a distinctive cultural touch to the presentation.
According to Agaeva, she spent one and a half months in Italy collaborating with Trevisani and Bellini. The result of this creative exchange was a joint project that merged the cultural identities of the two nations. The designers expressed their intent to continue the collaboration in future projects.
