The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium held a meeting with a group of Chinese school and university students who arrived in Brussels as part of the summer educational program organized by NMSG BV. The Embassy reported the event on Monday.
The delegation included 27 participants from nine provinces of China, including Yunnan, Jiangsu, and Chongqing. The group represented prestigious educational institutions such as New Oriental School, Sichuan International Studies University, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium and the European Union, Sapar Palvanov, presented an overview of the country’s foreign policy, highlighting the principle of permanent neutrality, Turkmenistan’s international cooperation initiatives, and its strategic role as a bridge between East and West. He also emphasized the significance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza, and the designation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The participants were introduced to Turkmenistan’s cultural heritage and had the opportunity to view traditional crafts, jewelry, embroidery, and elements of national dress.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and concluded with a group photo, a tasting of traditional Turkmen sweets, and lively conversations about diplomacy, history, and contemporary life in Turkmenistan.
