Marking Turkmenistan’s 34th Independence Day and the 30th anniversary of its neutrality policy, TRT Avaz hosted the gala premiere of two short films—Wise Turkmen Magtymguly and Arkadag: City of the Future —on October 13, 2025, in Ashgabat.
Wise Turkmen Magtymguly explores the legacy of the renowned Turkmen poet, whose works have become a shared treasure of the Turkic world. The film emphasizes his wisdom, universal messages, and the cultural heritage entrusted to the Turkmen people.
Arkadag: City of the Future presents the modern city as a model of innovation in Turkmenistan, highlighting smart urban infrastructure, advanced technologies, and initiatives ensuring residents’ comfort. The production reflects the nation’s long-term vision and focus on sustainable development.
These films are part of TRT Avaz’s ongoing series highlighting Turkmenistan’s cultural and contemporary achievements. From the historic streets of Ashgabat and Merv to Koneurgench and burning gas crater in the Karakum Desert, the channel’s prodyctions illustrate how Turkmenistan harmonizes a rich historical legacy with modern progress, promoting national values globally.
