Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s book “The Horse: A Symbol of Faithfulness and Happiness” was presented in a Dutch-language edition, was presented as part of international events dedicated to famous Akhal-Teke horses and Turkmen horse-breeding traditions in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, according to a Business Turkmenistan representative at the event.
Turkmen scientists, professors and teachers, students, representatives of major international political and public organizations and renowned scientific and educational centers around the world, public figures and prominent horse breeders attended the event.
The Dutch-language book was presented to a wider audience as part of the international scientific-practical conference “Akhal-Teke Horse: Turkmen Art of Universal Horse breeding.” The presentation began with opening remarks by Allaberdy Ashirov, president of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, and continued with speeches by Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belgium; Marian Weelterwrede, president of the European Akhal-Teke Horse Association; Pygy Bayramdurdyyew, rector of the Aba Annayew International Academy of Horse Breeding; and others.
The program of events in Kronenberg is broad and diverse. It includes beauty and dressage competitions among Akhal-Teke horses of different ages, the international scientific-practical conference “Akhal-Teke Horse: The Secular Art of Turkmen Horsemanship,” a horse jumping competition, as well as events to select the best horse in Europe.
