An exhibition of Turkmenistan’s economic achievements is being held in Ashgabat, showcasing products of domestic enterprises, new projects and development results in key sectors of the economy. The event is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, according to the Turkmen state media.
The exhibition was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The exhibition hall features stands by ministries, state concerns, regions, as well as state-owned and private-sector enterprises presenting products and projects across various sectors of the country’s economy.
The oil and gas sector is represented by materials on fields, infrastructure and export routes. Projects featured at the exhibition include the fourth phase of industrial development of the Galkynyş gas field and the development of gas transportation infrastructure, including the TAPI project.
Separate displays focus on the chemical industry, electricity, construction, transport, agriculture and banking services. Visitors can learn about the development of digital payment systems and the production of chemical products, food and export-oriented goods.
The transport sector presents information on international road, rail, maritime and air routes. The exhibition demonstrates capabilities for transporting oversized cargo and digital customs procedures.
The private sector is represented by companies producing computers, monitors, all-in-one computers, laptops, payment terminals, household appliances and furniture. Participants include Aýdyň gijeler and the joint venture Agzybirlik tilsimaty.
The exhibition also features textile products, carpets and medical goods, as well as projects in science, education, health care and sports.
Exhibits from Ashgabat and Arkadag cities and the regions introduce visitors to the industrial potential of the regions, infrastructure projects and cultural life.
The exhibition will run through Sept. 19.
