A new dairy processing complex operated by Täze Aý Önümleri, a business entity, opened on Oct. 24 in the Täze Oba farmers’ association in Mary district, Mary province, Turkmenistan. The plant is designed to process 50,000 tons of milk annually, according to Turkmen state media.
The production complex covers 3.5 hectares and is equipped with modern automated machinery from companies in Türkiye and Germany. The launch of the plant has created more than 300 jobs.
The facility will produce cream, kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, suzma, ayran and various types of ice cream. According to official data, its annual production capacity includes 3,000 tons of milk powder, about 1,050 tons of butter, 8,000 tons of fermented dairy products, 1,000 to 1,500 tons of cheese, and 10,000 tons of ice cream.
Representatives of the Mary province administration and public organizations, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, private-sector representatives, plant employees, elders and students attended the opening ceremony. Builders who distinguished themselves during construction were presented with valuable gifts.
Following the ceremony, guests toured the production facilities and inspected the installed equipment and range of products. The complex includes several production units, a laboratory for testing raw materials and finished products, an administrative building, warehouses and auxiliary facilities. A warehouse with a capacity of 380 tons is available for storing finished products.
The plant will primarily use cow’s milk, which is expected to be purchased under contracts from local residents, farmers’ associations and private enterprises. According to the official source, the facility will require 140 to 150 tons of milk daily to produce dairy products.
Turkmen state media previously reported that the Täze Aý group of companies was established in 2004 through the merger of several large enterprises. Over the past two decades, the company has become one of Turkmenistan’s major domestic producers of sausages, confectionery, dairy products and semi-finished meat products.
