On the occasion of the Day of Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy on Tuesday, the Turkmen National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan organized a wreath-laying ceremony on the poet’s monument, located on Magtymguly Street in Tashkent city, and a conference themed "Friendship of the Turkmen people in the works of Magtymguly”.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, representatives of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, representatives of the Tashkent city and the Turkmen National Cultural Center in Tashkent, the Turkmen diaspora and the media.
A concert and reading of poems of Magtymguly Pyragy took place within the framework of the conference.
The event was broadcast on the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel and in a number of media outlets.
