At the invitation of the Iranian side, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Iran’s Mashhad city participated in a joint cultural event dedicated to the celebration of International Novruz holiday together with the consulates of Afghanistan, Tajikistan and representatives of the local authorities of Iran.
The celebration took place at the memorial complex of Abul Qasim Ferdowsi in Khorasan Rezavi province on Wednesday, the Turkmen Consulate General in Mashhad said in its press release.
The event included a concert, exhibitions of national fine arts and cultural heritage, as well as national cuisine of nations celebrating Novruz.
Handmade carpets, national costumes, national jewelry, national souvenirs, and books of esteemed Arkadag were demonstrated at Turkmenistan's stand. Visitors of the stand also had an opportunity to taste the national cuisine of Turkmenistan.
