President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on Wednesday in Jeddah, the city in Saudi Arabia's Mecca province, the Saudi Press Agency reports.
Upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Turkmen President was greeted by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, Saudi Ambassador to Turkmenistan Saed bin Siwayed Alghamdi and a number of senior officials.
This is the first foreign visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov since he took office in March this year.
Saudi Arabia is home to Mecca and Medina, the two holiest cities in Islam.
