Turkmenistan and Bahrain Ink Documents Aimed at Boosting Ties

The talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, within the framework of Turkmen Heads visit to the middle eastern country on Wednesday, resulted in the signing of a package of bilateral documents.

As a result of the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a Joint Communiqué was also adopted.

Among the signed documents are:

- Agreement on air communication between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of crafts and traditions related to heritage;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Diplomatic Sciences named after Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on cooperation in the field of maritime transport;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on cooperation in the field of railway transport;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on cooperation in the field of general, technical and higher education;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain on cooperation in the field of standardization, certification, accreditation and metrology;

- Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Department of Culture and Antiquities of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of culture for 2023-2027;

- Certificate of partnership in the Global Logistics Hub "Sea-Air";

- Agreement on cooperation between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Bahrain Development Bank.

After official negotiations in Manama, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the highest award of the Kingdom of Bahrain - the Order of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa of the first degree.
