Turkmenistan Purchases New Mobile Drilling Rigs from China
The new equipment is installed at Barsagelmez and Goturdepe oil and gas fields in Balkan province.

Turkmenistan purchased new XJ 450 and XJ 650 mobile drilling rigs from China, Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry newspaper reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the new equipment is installed at Barsagelmez and Goturdepe oil and gas fields in Balkan province. Mobile drilling rigs will help speed up development of Turkmenistan's oil and gas fields.

Mobile rigs are primarily used to drill wells. It used to take more than a month to complete these tasks, but with the help of new equipment, it will now take only 20 days.

Each mobile drilling rig includes two power units (CAT engine lights), one caravan with all necessary conditions for approximately ten people, 492 LH and 492 LH drill pipes, a Kärcher pipe washer, an F-500 mud pump (with CAT engine), a remote control kit, spare parts, and emergency tools.

Experts estimate that the new well in Yylan field in Mary province will produce 991.6 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per day.
