Microsoft will open a multi-regional hub in Kazakhstan, TASS news agency reported on Monday, citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
The hub will cover Central Asian countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia and Pakistan.
According to Baghdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, the regional hub, as a center of technological development and innovation for Microsoft, will develop human capital and strengthen Kazakhstan's national economy through the promotion of non-resource technological industries production and exports.
Microsoft is a large multinational corporation founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975. Among its best-known products are Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications, and Xbox gaming consoles. The head office of Microsoft is located in Redmond, Washington, USA.
