The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China amounted to more than $2.64 billion in January-March of 2023, a 14.1 percent year-on-year jump, according to the data issued by General Administration of Customs of China.
In March 2023 alone, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $918 million.
Turkmen exports accounted for most of the trade turnover – more than $2.42 billion worth of products in the past three months. This is a year-on-year increase of 13.5 percent. During the same period, Turkmenistan imported more than $222.6 million worth of Chinese goods, which is 21.5 percent increase compared to the same period of last year.
The major component of Turkmenistan's exports to China is natural gas delivered through pipelines.
