The Turkmen-German economic forum will be held in October in Germany, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov stated in his report to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Germany on Monday during a working meeting.
During his visit to Germany on April 25-28 this year, Foreign Minister Meredov met with the Secretary General of the Eastern Committee of German Economy, one of the largest economic organizations in the country, to discuss the Turkmen-German economic forum in October 2023 with the participation of government representatives and business circles of Turkmenistan.
Rashid Meredov also held talks with executives of German company CLAAS. The German side expressed great interest in further development of cooperation with Turkmenistan. The sides stressed the importance of expanding contacts in innovation, investment, digital technology, and green economy.
Moreover, the Turkmen delegation discussed cooperation in the water sector with representatives of Wilo and interaction in the international financial and banking spheres with the heads of Deutsche Bank AG and Commerzbank AG.
