Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Benelux countries Sapar Palvanov held an introductory meeting in Brussels on Tuesday with Pernilla Hoelin, Head of the Protocol Department of the European Commission, during which the sides discussed the upcoming presentation of credentials by the Ambassador to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the press release of the Turkmen embassy informed in press release.

Sapar Palvanov and Pernilla Höhlin discussed the necessary preparations for the presentation of credentials, which is an important step in the formulation of relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union.

As part of the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat also presented a copy of his credentials to the Head of protocol as the head of Turkmenistan's mission to the EU.

In addition, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the Head of Protocol Unit of the EU discussed the prospects of future high-level visits between Turkmenistan and the European Union and emphasized the importance of maintaining an open dialogue and cooperation.
