In the congratulatory message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the Turkmen people, addressed congratulations on this historic day for the Turkish people with a political victory - his democratic re-election as President of the Türkiye and wishes for greater successes in the future in state activity.
During his phone conversation with President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated him on behalf of the Turkmen people, as well as himself and his family members on a historic day for the Turkish people marked by a political success - his democratic re-election as President of Türkiye.
Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, the Turkish President-Elect confirmed that he would continue to take effective measures to fully develop the traditionally friendly cooperation with Turkmenistan, supporting initiatives and efforts aimed at boosting inter-state relations.
Based on the preliminary results, the Turkish Supreme Electoral Council (CEC) recognized Erdogan's victory in the second round of the presidential election. According to Anadolu Agency, after processing 99.43 percent of the ballots, he received 52.14 percent of the votes, while Kemal Kilicdaroglu received 47.86 percent.
