Turkmen National Leader Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met in Ashgabat on Thursday to discuss plans to create joint production facilities in Turkmenistan for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and medical products, the official Turkmen media reported.
According to the report, Hungary is one of the world's twenty largest exporters of pharmaceutical products.
During the meeting in Ashgabat on Thursday, National Leader of Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán discussed the potential for collaboration in healthcare, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry due to Hungary's extensive experience in this area. The two leaders also discussed the current state and prospects of further development of the Turkmen-Hungarian partnership.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Friday Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán on an official visit to our country. A package of bilateral documents was signed as a result of the Turkmen-Hungarian talks at the highest level.
Among the signed documents is an agreement on academic and scientific cooperation between the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev and Semmelweis University.
