The administration of the city of Arkadag was instructed to hold international tenders for the construction and equipping of a seismic station to ensure accurate recording of seismic vibrations. The corresponding Decree was signed on Friday by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
According to the official Turkmen media, the document aims to improve the quality of public services in Turkmenistan, make Arkadag city a more environmentally friendly and beautiful city, and identify and record the level of seismic risk. These goals are in line with the National Program of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052 and the Program to reduce the seismic risk.
The city administration of Arkadag was instructed to hold international tenders to purchase specialized vehicles, spare parts, and other equipment used for public utilities.
According to the Decree signed by President Berdimuhamedov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the administration of Arkadag City, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Culture, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were tasked to ensure the opening of the Arkadag city in a high level on June 29, 2023.
