The share of businessmen in various sectors of Turkmenistan's economy is growing from year to year, and in 2023, this indicator is expected to equal 71.3 percent of the gross domestic product (not including the fuel and energy complex), according to the speeches of representatives of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists at the international investment forum held on Friday in Arkadag.
Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses who participated in the forum spoke in detail about the activity of their enterprises and the conditions created for their effective work.
The forum participants were also informed about the taxation regime providing benefits for the priority areas of the country's economic development.
The forum touched upon developing investment opportunities and tools to promote industrial, scientific, technological, and socioeconomic development in the country. Representatives from international organizations, major financial institutions, and foreign business associations assessed the viability of investing in innovative projects proposed by the Turkmen side based on presentations and in-depth discussions.
