The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on Wednesday hosted a session with specialists of the Main Department of Civil Defense and Rescue of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan for the representatives of the Turkmen private sector.
The specialists discussed emergency defense measures and the prevention of emergencies, the UIET reported.
The meeting reviewed various emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, and extreme heat and explained in detail the measures to be taken.
The organizers of the meeting also discussed preventive measures to avoid such situations.
The Main Department of Civil Defense and Rescue of the Ministry of Defense periodically organizes short-term training courses and lectures on emergencies in educational institutions, the Health Service, and with the staff of the provinces and Ashgabat City Civil Defense and Rescue Departments. The ministry also organizes "Young Rescuer" contests among children.
